Summit voor studenten en young professionals in de erfgoedsector

Na de succesvolle summit The Future is Heritage in 2018 slaan Erfgoed Brabant, Erfgoed Gelderland en Europa Nostra opnieuw de handen ineen voor de organisatie van de Capacity Building Days 2019. In deze conferentie stond jongerenparticipatie in de erfgoedsector centraal. De Capacity Building Days 2019 vonden plaats van 17 tot en met 20 juni 2019 in Athene, Griekenland. Tijdens de Capacity Building Days gingen zo'n 60 Europese jongeren samen met oudere erfgoedprofessionals aan de slag. Denk aan excursies binnen en buiten de stad, casestudies in werkgroepen en paneldiscussies. Samen verkenden we nieuwe manieren om de positie van jongeren in het Europese erfgoedveld te versterken en een Europees netwerk te creëren van jonge erfgoedprofessionals, studenten en vrijwilligers. De volgende thema’s kwamen tijdens de Capacity Building Days aan bod:
• Stedelijke en regionale vernieuwing door inzet van cultureel erfgoed
• Erfgoed en activisme
• Sociale cohesie door erfgoedbeleid
• Betwist Erfgoed
De Capacity Building Days werden georganiseerd door Erfgoed Brabant, Erfgoed Gelderland en Europa Nostra, samen met Griekse en Nederlandse partners en Provincie Noord-Brabant. De Capacity Building Days ontvangen mede steun van het Creative Europe programma via Europa Nostra.

After the successful Future is Heritage Summit in 2018, Europa Nostra, Erfgoed Brabant and Erfgoed Gelderland (NL) are now joining forces in organising a working conference: The Capacity Building Days on youth participation in European heritage management. The conference offered a programme focused on interregional exchange and ways to improve opportunities for young people who are active in the European heritage field.
The Capacity Building Days 2019 took place in Athens, Greece, from June 17 – 20. The programme included local case-studies, excursions and debate sessions and will focus on themes such as:
● Urban or rural heritage-led revitalisation
● Heritage & civic activism
● Social inclusion through heritage management
● Contested Heritage
During the programme, we explored ways to strengthen a Europe-wide network of young heritage professionals, students and volunteers.
Organising partners: Europa Nostra and Erfgoed Brabant, Erfgoed Gelderland, together with Dutch and Greek partner organizations, the Province Noord-Brabant. The Capacity Building Days are co-organized in the frame of Europa Nostra’s network project co-funded by the Creative Europe programme.
